Sydney Jae Wong grew up in Massachusetts with her three younger sisters. Her parents believed in introducing their children to reading, creativity, and fine motor skills at young ages. Sydney was always surrounded by storybooks, even as she grew up, as the eldest with a six year age gap with the youngest. Not the biggest fan of reading growing up... Sydney was a bigger fan of the visual aspects in children's books, fascinated by the imagery then began Sydney's initial interest in art. Her mother also encouraged her girls to express themselves creatively as she actively did arts and crafts with them. In grade school, Sydney would love to incorporate anything visually pleasing to her posters and trifold boards. Whether it would be a patterned outlining a text box or small illustrations to clip art to enhance her project.
